The Wildcats similarly struggled against SEC powerhouse Georgia and also finished 9-3.But when they play in the Citrus Bowl, Associated Press college football expert Ralph D. Russo projects that the Nittany Lions are going to take home the win.Why watch? Kentucky LB Josh Allen, who has won three defensive player of the year awards — Nagurski, Bednarik and Lott Impact … PENN STATE 21-17.Penn State and Kentucky have only played each other five times, with Penn State winning the most recent outing – the Outback Bowl in 1999.The two teams played each other in four straight regular seasons from 1975 to 1978. The teams split that four-game series.The Wildcats are hoping to make history with a Citrus Bowl win, as it would give them a 10-win season for the first time since 1977.
