Gurugram: Undeterred by its performance in the General elections the Aam Admi Party has begun preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana.On Saturday, the AAP state president and state convenor Sushil Gupta held a meeting in Faridabad and devised a strategy for the party n the upcoming polls. Speaking to the reporters, Naveen Jaihind said that the party will be strengthened at both levels and for this purpose, the workers will also be trained so that they can make sure that a sizeable number of voters in their booth are encouraged to vote for AAP. After Delhi and Punjab, AAP believes Haryana to be the most fertile land for its kind of politics to grow and has been making a lot of attempts to revive the party organisation. Earlier this year, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had made several visits to Haryana to ensure that AAP puts up a good performance in the Lok Sabha election. AAP had demanded that Congress extend the alliance to Haryana, apart from Delhi. AAP is going to contest the upcoming assembly election in Haryana, which is currently ruled by BJP, with all its strength even though the party had a dismal performance the neighbouring state in Lok Sabha polls. AAP had contested on three of the 10 parliamentary seats in alliance with Jannayak Janta Party. AAP is not likely to have any alliance with JJP for assembly polls. Haryana state president Naveen Jaihind, who got only around 11,076 as party candidate from Faridabad parliamentary constituency, will lead the party in the polls.
