Kirk Herbstreit.ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit appeared on Get Up! this morning to preview tonight’s College Football Playoff rankings.Alabama, of course, will be No. 1 in the second week of the College Football Playoff rankings, as the Crimson Tide are coming off a dominant win at No. 3 LSU.Herbstreit was asked by ESPN’s Mike Greenberg if any team actually has a chance of beating Alabama this season. The ESPN college football analyst thinks that just one team has a legitimate chance of competing athletically with the Crimson Tide.“Clemson is the only team athletically that can beat Alabama,” he said.Herbstreit added that the reason Clemson made the change at quarterback, going from Kelly Bryant to Trevor Lawrence, was because of Alabama. The Tigers were dominated by the Crimson Tide last season. Lawrence, a potential future NFL Draft first-round pick, is the kind of athletically-gifted QB that could give Alabama problems.Do any other teams have a chance of toppling Nick Saban and Co.?We’ll find out.
