These Leeds fans may have discovered Bielsa’s ‘secret’ coaching weapon

first_imgDid anyone else spot the coach in the east stand giving out orders to Alioski & Douglas @PhilHayYEP @apopey @weareleeds_ @Radebe_Leeds @simon_orourke @JoeUrquhartYEP @lufcstats @themightyleeds pic.twitter.com/nsnxtqG41v— George Lindley (@GJLindley) August 5, 2018 SOMETHING’S RON ROUND-UP That’s just for pitchside staff. Leeds could fill the entire east stand with coaches should they desire.— Simon O’Rourke (@simon_orourke) August 5, 2018 There’s a reason there is a box around where the managers and coaches sit. The technical area. You’re not supposed to leave it— El Loco’s Elland Road Asylum (@19MOT19) August 5, 2018 Yes I did. At first I thought why is Douglas taking orders from a fan & then realised what was going on— Voluptuous Pep Guardiola (@FooWhiter) August 5, 2018 I noticed from upper east when Douglas kept communicating with what seemed to be a ‘fan’— Daniel Gotel (@DanielGotel) August 5, 2018 Chelsea have watched Leeds ace ‘perfect for Premier League football’ regularly That’s from the rulebooks, but it’s not clear on the rules for people shouting instructions from the stands. Could be someone in the stand behind bielsa communication what they hear across the pitch. If it’s direct from the bench it’s probably not ok pic.twitter.com/Rmk5QozCqU— . (@deancore) August 5, 2018 This is the attention to detail we have lacked, Bielsa doing a proper job!— Dave Cory (@DavePenis) August 5, 2018 How Ronaldinho ‘tricked’ Brazil teammate into joining Man United over Leeds coming soon? He was sat below us at York city away pre season friendly. That time he was actually on the pitchside below the advertising boards next to the stewards. Presumably its ok to sit in the stands shouting instructions but not pitch side as its not the technical area. Good idea.— Until the world stops going round (@WordsworthCarl) August 6, 2018 impact Leeds news Haaland signs Man United kit amid £76m rumours… and posts Leeds pic too PLAY HIM Jansson explains why he prefers Brentford boss Frank to ‘mental’ Bielsa WHITE KNIGHT compared BRAGGING RIGHTS RESULTS Every Championship club’s best signing of the decade, including Taarabt and Dack round up Ljungberg ‘feels sorry’ for on-loan Arsenal man over lack of game time Leeds back on top: What happened in the Championship on Tuesday night? Bristol City beat Fulham, QPR win for first time since October, Leeds go top Leeds lose at Fulham, West Brom held, Charlton’s winless run continues Leeds go top of Championship with win over Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Another season, another manager for Leeds. However, things seem different this time with Marcelo Bielsa in the dugout. Before the season got going, he explained how he wants his side to play.“We want to impose our own style.  The idea is to play in the opponents half,” he told the club’s official website. “That means we will dominate our opponent if we can impose this idea.  Our idea is to attack more than to defend.  In case we defend, the goal is to go back to attack as soon as possible.  We will try to link the three lines of our team without playing long balls.  These are our goals, but in moments during the game or our opponents, could make us do things differently than to what we plan.”The man known as ‘El Loco’ can definitely be considered a maverick and United fans think they’ve already spotted a creative way of allowing him to communicate with players on the other side of the pitch – by planting a coach, complete with earpiece, in another stand.Leeds beat Stoke 3-1 in their first Championship game of the season and on Twitter, @GJLindley posted a picture asking: “Did anyone else spot the coach in the east stand giving out orders to Alioski & Douglas”?Whether it was an excitable fan or a coach has not been confirmed. After the win, Bielsa said this about the Elland Road faithful: “The atmosphere was even bigger than what I thought, the fans were connected to the messages of the team in every second of the game. I would like to thank the fans for their support and I hope that our football will create a positive reaction from the supporters.” He’s just in front of me. He was shouting Douglas for ages… it was more Dooog lass.Same with Alioski and he went nuts when we scored 👍— Lee Grayson (@LeeGrayson) August 5, 2018last_img read more
